Frequently asked questions
Measure around your waist at the navel while standing relaxed, then order that size, not your pant size. A 34" jean waist is usually a 38" belt. If you fall between sizes, size up for a lever belt and down for a quick-lock. Wrong size, we cover the exchange both ways.
The lever gives you identical tension every single time, in one motion. The quick-lock lets you loosen and tighten between sets without tools. If you are chasing max singles at a stable bodyweight, take the lever. If your sessions mix heavy work with conditioning, or your weight moves around, take the quick-lock.
When preparing for competition, you need compliant gear that meets the highest standards. From belts to bars, all our competition-grade gear is certified by the International Powerlifting Federation, ensuring you have the right tools for the platform.
Regardless of if you're a seasoned competitor or getting ready for your first meet, our IPF-approved range helps you train and compete with confidence, knowing your gear is up to the challenge. Get everything you need to compete at the highest level and take your lifting to the next level with our certified equipment.
Yes. A lever belt has a fixed circumference set by screw position, so size up if you are between sizes. A quick-lock belt adjusts continuously, so size down. Lever belts can be re-drilled to adjust by roughly one inch, but the adjustment takes a screwdriver and is not something to do mid-session.
You unscrew the lever and move it to a different hole position, it takes a screwdriver and about two minutes. This is the main practical trade-off versus adjustable belts: whatever tightness you set is the tightness you get every session. If your bodyweight moves around a lot, the self-locking belt is the better fit.
For most training, yes but not for max-effort powerlifting. Reviewers consistently find nylon belts supportive and versatile across mixed training, while noting they lack the rigidity leather provides at the very top end. One long-term reviewer found a self-locking nylon belt excellent for beginners, recreational lifters and CrossFit athletes, but short on stiffness for heavy deadlifts. If you are chasing a max single, take the lever belt.
10mm is right for most lifters. 13mm is for advanced powerlifters who want maximum rigidity and can accept a months-long break-in. Both are legal in most US federations.
